Google: Robert Bunsen 200th Birthday

Posted in google, Personality  by redamethyst No Comments

When I opened google this morning this image welcomed me. The first impression is they are celebrating something about scientist and when I click the image, true enough they are celebrating the 200th birthday of Robert Bunsen. He is a German Chemist who discovered the elements Caesium and Rubidium together with another scientist, Gustav Kirchhof. He also made an improvement on a laboratory burners which is now called as Bunsen Burner. He was able to receive a Copley Medal which is given by the Royal Society of London for an outstanding achievements in any branch of Science. He died at the age of 88, ten years after he retired.

Any significance, for me? I am no longer a student but I have a young boy here, and I know in the future he will ask questions and maybe even have his own projects for science. So, I need to start researching and learning again.. :)

Ryan Bang

Posted in Personality  by redamethyst No Comments

Ryan Bang is a Korean comedian who is a former housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010. He was able to garner enough votes to land him as second placer. This teen star is a 28 week judge of the talent show of ABS-CBN, Showtime. Sometimes, it’s hard to understand what he is saying as a judge and sometimes he laughs at himself because he too didn’t understand what he said. He always gives out T-shirts to the audition that has Filipino theme and there’s something in him that makes him survive each week at Showtime. He has this charm that even my son is so fond of him. My son can’t help but laugh with his silly antics when he gives “sample” at showtime or when he host his show 3ow Powhz! at Studio 23. This Korean teen loves the Filipinos and he always says that even though his race is Korean his heart is a Filipino.

Whatta Wonderful Week!

Posted in WWW  by redamethyst 3 Comments

I was browsing some blogs when I landed on The All Around Mom. I got curious on the badge on the side bar that says whatta wonderful week. It is a weekly meme that is done every Monday and its about sharing the wonderful things that happen to you last week. I immediately liked this meme because it focuses on the good things in life. So, I am posting my entry this week even though, Trish, the author hasn’t made a post about it this week. I just want to thank God for all the good things He has given me last week.

Wonderful things happened last week. Our friend in Hong Kong already decided to join our networking company because she really loves the product that she herself tried. She already sent the money and I will be getting it to purchase her the weight management pack and send it to her immediately.

I have a one bottle sale last week though I don’t just promote my product once. I am also thankful that my Mother in law was here in the house because she was able to do the things that I can’t do because I am going to the office like ironing the clothes and of course taking care of my little boy while I am away.

I am thankful for the simplest blessing that we have something to eat, we have clothes to wear everyday, we have good health and we have time to spend with each other everyday.

Thank you Lord for all the blessings you are giving us everyday.

Pilipinas Got Talent

Posted in TV Shows  by redamethyst No Comments

Pilipinas Got Talent or simply PGT season 2 started last Saturday. This talent show is based on a British show called Got Talent. ABS-CBN was able to acquire the franchise for this show. The three judges namely Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Freddie Garcia (FMG) will go to different places for the audition which is the first phase of the reality show. The judges will choose the contestants who will be able to go to phase two. The judges will again go through the performances of those who passed the first phase and they will select those who will go to the semi-finals. The semi-finalist will be divided into groups and they will perform live and only two will manage to go to the Finals. Voting of audience and tv viewers will be important on the semi-final and the final round. This show is hosted by Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford and you can watch it every Saturday and Sunday night on ABS-CBN.

Last Sunday, one particular act is so touching because the contestant’s race is not Filipino but he is a Filipino by heart. Brian was adopted by Filipino parents and was raised here in the Philippines. While other contestants are trying to sing an English song beautifully, this young boy sang a Tagalog song, Habang May Buhay and it was so beautiful. The funny thing here is Brian, an American speaks Tagalog, while his adoptive father, a Filipino speaks in English. LOL!

For those who weren’t able to watch PGT last Sunday, here’s a Youtube video, I hope you like it too!
